MDCSL Launches Survey for HIV/AIDS, Victim and Housing Providers, November 2009 The MDCSL has started data collection on HIV/AIDS, Victim, and Housing Programs. If you are provider for any of these program types, please add or update your program listing as soon as possible. For programs already in the MDCSL database, please note that additional survey questions have been added to the 'update a listing' form so that you can provide more detailed information for programs serving these areas. Please note that specific questions addressing particular service areas not noted above will be added in the future. MDCSL Completes Statewide Expansion, August 2009 The MDCSL is pleased to announce the completion of its statewide expansion! The directory is now available statewide for all Maryland residents. For more information on the expansion, check out the MDCSL feature in the CESAR Fax. We look forward to expanding the level of detail for these directories over the coming year. MDCSL Expands Senior Citizen Resources Directory Statewide, August 2009 A statewide listing of senior citizen resources is now available on the MDCSL. This includes a wide range of agencies serving seniors, including information and referral services, legal assistance, senior centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, adult day care, and many others. MDCSL Launches Statewide Parks and Recreational Sites Directory, August 2009 A statewide listing of parks and recreational sites has now been added to the MDCSL. This listing includes parks, community pools, natural areas, and other recreational opportunities. MDCSL Launches Statewide Food Assistance Directory, June 2009 A statewide listing of food assistance programs has now been added to the MDCSL. This listing includes a wide range of food programs, such as food stamps, WIC and other assistance programs, as well as emergency food assistance (soup kitchens, food pantries) services. MDCSL Launches Statewide Family Assistance Directory, April 2009 A statewide listing of family assistance programs has now been added to the MDCSL. This listing includes a wide range of family services, such as social service locations, energy assistance programs, head start centers, and more! MDCSL Expands Health Services Directory, March 2009 The MDCSL has expanded the Health Services Directory to include a wider range of statewide programs. This directory now includes a broad range of free and low-cost health services for all areas of the state, including clinics, hospitals, and other general health service programs. MDCSL Launches Two New Directories, March 2009 The MDCSL has launched a NEW Statewide Legal Assistance directory and a Support Groups directory. The legal assistance database includes free and low cost legal assistance programs. The Support Groups directory contains a variety of support groups, currently including AA, NA, Al-Anon and Nar-Anon meetings. MDCSL Adds More Programs to the Mental Health Directory, February 2009 The Mental Health Directory has been updated to include more statewide programs! Check back soon for our new legal assistance directory. MDCSL Expands Short-Term Housing Directory Statewide, January 2009 A listing of statewide short-term housing programs has now been added to the MDCSL. This listing includes drop-in centers, emergency and long-term shelters, as well as transitional housing facilities. MDCSL Expands Disability Services Directory Statewide, December 2008 A listing of statewide disability programs has now been added to the MDCSL. MDCSL Gets a New Look!, November 2008 The MDCSL launched a new site design representing Maryland's state colors. Let us know what you think about the new look! Please note that this will affect only the design of the site. The functionality of the site remains the same. MDCSL Expands Job Readiness/Adult Education Directory Statewide, November 2008 A listing of statewide job readiness/adult education programs has now been added to the MDCSL. This includes job training and readiness programs, as well as adult education (i.e. GED programs) and literacy programs. Check back next month for the launch of the statewide disability services database. MDCSL Launches NEW Conflict Resolution Directory, November 2008 A listing of statewide free and/or low-cost conflict resolution services has been added to the site. This includes organizations providing mediation and alternative dispute resolution services, community conferencing, and other related services. Check back later this month for the launch of our statewide job readiness/adult education directory. MDCSL Launches New Update Tool, October 2008 In an effort to keep the MDCSL website as updated as possible, the MDCSL has added a new tool to the website called Update a Listing. This tool can be used by organizations listed on the website to submit edits to their existing listings and also to notify the MDCSL staff that their listing is correct. We encourage providers to submit any revisions as necessary and also to submit notifications that entries are correct at least every 6 months. We appreciate your assistance in making this an accurate and useful website for Maryland service providers and residents. MDCSL Launches Statewide Victim Services Directory, October 2008 A listing of statewide victim services providers has now been added to the MDCSL. Check back next month for the statewide update of the job readiness/adult education directory and a NEW directory called conflict resolution. MDCSL Expands HIV/AIDS Resource Directory, September 2008 MDCSL Adds NEW Statewide Directories Including Public Schools and Public Internet Access Sites, August 2008 A listing of the primary and secondary public schools in Maryland has now been added to the MDCSL.
